2025 Makaravilakku Mahotsavam Ends on January 19: Know more




The Neyyabhishekam will end on January 18 at 11.30 am. 


The Sabarimala Makaravilakku Mahotsavam will end on the night of January 19. Devotees will be allowed to enter Pampa till 6 pm that evening. Darshan at Sannidhanam will be allowed only till 10 pm. 

On the 19th, after the evening puja, the Makaravilakku Mahotsavam will conclude with the Guruthi ceremony in front of the Manimandapam. The procession will reach Saramkuthi.



This will be followed by the Kalabhabhishekam in the presence of the Pandalam Rajaprathanidhi. The Kalamezhut ceremony at the Manimandapam and the deeparadhana & harivarasanam at the Sannidhanam.




Only the Pandalam Rajapratnidhi will have darshan on January 20 Early Morning. After the Ganapati Homam at 5.30 am, the Thiruvabharanam return procession will set off. After the darshan of the Rajapratnidhi, the Melshanthi will perform Vibhuti-abhishekam on the Ayyappa idol at 6.30 am and close the temple by chanting Harivarasanam.
