Pathanamthitta: The Kullar Dam is set to be opened from February 12 to 17, following approval from District Collector and District Disaster Management Authority Chairman, S. Premkrishnan, in coordination with the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Dam Safety Division.

As part of the controlled release, 20,000 cubic meters of water will be discharged daily during this period to maintain adequate water levels in the Pamba River. Officials have stated that this may result in a water level increase of up to five centimeters in the river.
