Sabarimala, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India, witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees during the Kumbha Masa Pooja in February 2025, akin to the fervor observed during the Mandala Pooja.
The temple doors opened on February 12, 2025, and will remain accessible to devotees until February 17, 2025. In just a few days, thousands of devotees undertook the sacred pilgrimage to seek the blessings of Lord Ayyappa. On February 15, 2025, a remarkable 49,937 devotees visited the temple, while on February 13, 2025, the footfall stood at 36,337.
The significant turnout highlights the deep-rooted faith and spiritual commitment of Hindus toward Sabarimala. Devotees observe rigorous religious discipline before embarking on this sacred journey, reaffirming the temple’s importance in their spiritual lives.
Despite, the temple administration has effectively managed the influx of pilgrims, ensuring a smooth darshan experience and maintaining the sanctity of the rituals. With the temple set to close on February 17, 2025, a further surge in devotees is anticipated in the final day of the Kumbha Masa Pooja.
Sabarimala will reopen its doors on March 14, 2025, for the Meenam Masa Poojas, offering devotees yet another opportunity to seek divine blessings of Lord Ayyappan.
