Sabarimala Loses Crores in Central Funds Due to Devaswom Board’s Negligence

Pathanamthitta– Sabarimala, a major pilgrimage spot, has lost crores of rupees in central government funding because of the Devaswom Board’s carelessness. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that out of the 100 crores given by the central government for Sabarimala’s development, only 55 crores have been used. He shared this after visiting the temple.

The minister explained that the Devaswom Board needs to submit detailed plans for each project to get more funds. Since they haven’t done this, the central government can’t release money for further work. Shekhawat added that if the board provides a clear plan, extra funds could come through the Prasadam scheme to improve Sabarimala.

Shekhawat arrived at Sabarimala with his wife, Nonand Kanwar, alongside BJP’s K. Surendran and other party leaders.
