Show Cause Notice Given to Policeman; After Mohanlal’s Sabarimala Visit
PATHANAMTHITTA: A show cause notice has been served to a policeman who escorted Mohanlal to Sabarimala.
B Sunil Krishnan, previously the SHO of Thiruvalla, had been transferred prior to this. The DySP issued the notice following the transfer.
Sunil had requested permission to visit Sabarimala, stating that he had long desired to make the pilgrimage, However, he failed to disclose that he would be escorting Mohanlal, a prominent figure in Indian cinema. This lack of transparency has prompted disciplinary action against the officer.
Mohanlal arrived at Sabarimala on the 18th of this month, ahead of the release of Empuraan. He ascended the hill from Pampa after completing the 'kettu nira' ritual. His friend K Madhavan accompanied him as well.
